Recently Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the hit Japanese Shonen manga series One Piece decided to go on break for his manga. Eiichiro Oda has been writing one piece for over 25 years.  He wrote and illustrated around 15 pages weekly only taking a few breaks through the decades he has been penning the manga. However now that Oda's is approaching his mid-40s his health is slowly deteriorating. He does not seem to have the same amount of energy. Moreover, he is now working on a live-action show for Netflix and multiple spin-off shows as well. Oda needed to take an emergency one-month break after being rushed to the hospital on November 15. He is currently recovering but needs time to relax and heal.

Oda overall needs to start taking more breaks. One Piece is a worldwide sensation garnering billions of fans all over the world. However, the only way this story can keep going and conclude in the next decade is if Oda stays well with his health. Japanese work culture seems to be very toxic as a whole. This has led to much employee abuse from threats to unpaid overtime. Oda is being pushed by the publishing company to get his work done since they heavily rely on his creation for income. But they soon realize that if they do not start seeing him as a human this will just lead to them losing more profits overall. As a long-time fan, I am open to Oda taking longer breaks if that means he will produce better high-quality stuff.

Recently, Trump and Biden met at the white house to discuss the transition of power. This event occurred recently on November 13th when both presidents met in front of the press at the white house. Biden overall greeted Trump with a welcome back and Trump had great respect for Biden publicly. Trump told Biden that politics gets a little messy overall and sometimes can get a little mean. However he never truly meant any disrespect to Biden on a personal level. All of his points came from his passion for the country.   My analysis of the video and event begs to differ from his statement.

My opinion on this is that this interaction is just more of a PR act. Every president has to transition to meet with each other in front of the press and talk about a smooth transition. They talk about the little chat they had alone but nothing gets disclosed to the public. I think both men have little respect for each other and were putting on a show. They know they must calm down and be more civilized for the public. Yet Trump knows that he must be able to show patience and calmness now that he is officially in control. He must show the American people that he is a very different person from the one who joined the US office in 2016.

Moreover, I believe that this shows the future of the United States. Seeing how these two men interact gives us a good look into the future of how the country will be run overall. It is as if nobody wants to say their true intentions about a situation. They just need to have a good poker face. Moreover, that is how it feels to be a citizen of the country and not be able to voice your opinion. You just need to put on a pleasant face as everything burns around you. Honesty and trust are what make a good leader. This interview makes me very skeptical. I truly wish the best for the United States of America.
